When it makes sense to set up a trust, our advice ensures the whole process is smooth and simple.
Setting up a trust is a way to manage assets on behalf of other people, perhaps because they are too young to handle their affairs or are incapacitated in some way. The assets held in the trust could include money, investments, land or buildings.
The assets in the trust are legally owned by its trustees – they are the people responsible for managing the trust and making sure it operates correctly. Trustees have a number of obligations, and it’s important that they understand their role and how to carry it out. As advisers, we give trustees all the support they need to fulfil their duties and make the running of the trust as smooth and straightforward as possible.
The value of investments and the income derived from them can fall as well as rise. You may not get back what you initially invested.
